Foundation Coordinator

The Foundation Coordinator plays a key role in driving the success of the Kentucky Chamber Foundation, a $2.5 million non-profit organization,  by providing high-level administrative support, coordinating departmental operations, and serving as a critical liaison between internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Foundation Coordinator will perform the following functions. Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

  • Understands and values outstanding performance in all aspects of the individual’s job.
  • Understands and delivers on the value of customer service and executes good judgment.
  • Provides administrative support to the Senior Vice President, such as meeting scheduling, data management, reporting, communications, contract development, Board and Committee coordination, travel, etc. 
  • Schedules meetings with leaders, partners, stakeholders, members, and staff.
  • Provides administrative assistance in support of the Foundation/Workforce Center, including data management, operations, communications, reporting, finance processing, and tracking for Foundation/Workforce Center Programs.
  • Provides administrative support for marketing campaigns for Foundation/Workforce Center programs.
  • Supports planning and execution of Foundation/Workforce Center events, including coordinating logistics, compiling materials, and tracking post-event action items and communications.
  • Updates membership database with Foundation/Workforce Center-related content, including member engagements, marketing, and committee activities 
  • Coordinates Board of Directors and committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, notetaking, and timely follow-up.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism and discretion in supporting executive and board-level communication.
  • Supports continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes to increase efficiency and enhance internal coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proactive mindset, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with grace and accuracy.
  • Assist at Chamber functions, including Chamber Day, Business Summit, Annual Meeting, and other events as needed.
  • Serve as a backup receptionist as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
At least four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must have a valid driver’s license.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. and be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time. On occasion, may be required to stoop, kneel or crouch, and must be able to work up to 16 hours days.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
